Shadow Secretary campaigns with Adrian in Skelmersdale
Shadow Secretary for International Development Andrew Mitchell joined West Lancashire Conservative candidate Adrian Owens in Skelmersdale on Monday.
Along with local activists Paul Hampson and David Sudworth, they canvassed and leafleted the Tawd Bridge area of Digmoor followed by a spot of lunch at the town's Asda store.
Adrian said: "I was delighted to welcome yet another member of the Shadow Cabinet to West Lancashire. Andrew thoroughly enjoyed meeting local residents on the doorstep and talking about a whole range of issues.
"Despite Labour's scare tactics, we were given a positive reception by voters. It is becoming increasingly clear that people even in Labour's so-called 'heartland' do not want five more years of Gordon Brown, and because of that they are now voting for change with the Conservatives."
