Chewing gum faces blitz in Ormskirk town centre

The Borough council is set to commence a programme of chewing gum removal from selected streets in the Borough starting with Ormskirk town centre following a request from Adrian.

Adrian said: "Used chewing gum makes an unsightly mess on our streets, particularly in the pedestrianised areas of Ormskirk. The council bought a machine a few years ago which can be used to clean off chewing gum residue. I’m pleased that following my intervention a cleaning programme will start before the end of May and continue through June. While Ormskirk will benefit first, there are plans to clean other shopping areas too in a borough wide purge."

Please contact me via this website if you know of any particular used chewing gum hotspots which need cleaning.
