Death of Corporal Liam Elms

In a short statement issued earlier today, Adrian said the following about the death in Afghanistan of Liam Elms of the Royal Marines, who hails from Wrightington:

Corporal Elms was clearly an outstanding and brave Royal Marine. He was killed protecting us from terrorist threat. My prayers and condolences are with his family at this most difficult time. The death of a local West Lancashire serviceman reminds us starkly of the sacrifices made on our behalf by our servicemen and women.
