release prison site information now

It's time for the Ministry of Justice to come clean over the assessments made of a possible prison in Scarisbrick, says Adrian Owens.

Adrian has today made a Freedom of Information request, asking for disclosure of all correspondence and documents relating to the site search exercise and site assessment which Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary confirmed took place over the Scarisbrick site.

Adrian said “Currently, we do not know for certain which site in Scarisbrick was considered for a Titan prison, let alone know why it was rejected. I've requested this information, because it is vital that local people can understand the thought processes in the Ministry of Justice, so that we can be better prepared to fight off any future plans for a prison in Scarisbrick.”
