Adrian has welcomed the release of information under the Freedom of Information Act which shows why a titan prison for Scarisbrick was rejected.

Adrian had made the freedom of information request recently when the Justice Secretary, Jack Straw had repeatedly failed to rule out the possibility of a prison in Scarisbrick.

"The response from the Ministry of Justice shows that they rejected Scarisbrick as a site for a prison because of, among other factors, its distance from major urban areas and poor public transport , Adrian said.

"I've forwarded the information to Scarisbrick Parish council. If the Government try to foist a prison on Scarisbrick in the future, then we have the information which shows how the National Offender Management Service operate in this area."
