new bus service is a welcome boost for wEST LANCASHIRE

From 16 November 2009 a new bus company, Rolling Solutions Ltd, are to introduce a new bus service linking Skelmersdale with St.Helens and Warrington, on a commercial basis.

Running hourly Monday to Saturday daytime the new service will commence from Old Skelmersdale White Moss Road serving Liverpool Road, High Street, Gillibrands Road and Skelmersdale Concourse then via Digmoor, Upholland, Tontine, Billinge, St.Helens and Penketh to Warrington.

Adrian Owens, Conservative General Election candidate said “This new service is especially welcome as it brings a new provider into the town to provide some much needed competition to Arriva. It will restore a service along Liverpool Road in Old Skelmersdale and the link to St Helens was a frequent request from our transport survey earlier this year. I will be seeking a meeting with this operator to try to interest them in providing additional services elsewhere in Skelmersdale and throughout West Lancashire.”
