adrian's biography
Adrian is a local businessman who has lived in West Lancashire for more than 20 years raising his family here. He is married to Jocelyn and his children attend local schools such as St Bede's in Ormskirk. Born on the Wirral, Adrian is a science graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge and has pursued a career in manufacturing. He now runs his own business consultancy helping small businesses through the legal minefield of health, safety and environmental matters. Adrian is a practising Christian and spends his free time enjoying time with his family.
Political experience
He has been a councillor in Ormskirk since 1999 and was finance portfolio holder on West Lancashire District
council from 2002-2008, keeping district council tax rises to inflation or less. He was Borough council
Deputy Leader and Regeneration
Portfolio Holder between 2008-2014. He is a strong campaigner and works hard to ensure that residents' voices are heard.
Adrian is the Chairman of the Our West Lancashire group of Independent councillors. The group has grown from 2 to 6 councillors in recent times.
Other interests
Adrian is an active supporter or member of a number of organisations such as Right to Life
and the Freedom Association. He is also a long-standing supporter of the National Trust. Adrian spends his leisure
time with his family and enjoys walking in the local countryside. He walked and camped a 50-mile stretch of the Leeds-Liverpool canal with his eldest daughter and completed the Three Peaks Challenge with a group of young people from the Birchwood Centre in
Skelmersdale, raising £7000 for the charity which helps homeless young people.
